A wiretap conducted by the National Bureau of Investigation through the "IMSI Catcher" device led to the discovery of a telephone in the Durrës prison cell, where the detainee Artur Hoxhosmani, or as he is otherwise known as "Turi i Burreli", was held.
Hoxhosmani is in custody after SPAK has imposed the measure of "prison arrest" on him, for the criminal offenses of "Drug Trafficking", committed in the form of a "Structured Criminal Group".
Apparently, during this time, Hoxhosmani was being wiretapped by the authorities of the National Bureau of Investigation, who discovered that from inside the cell where he was staying in Durrës prison, Hoxhosmani was making phone calls to various people.
This was enough for the wiretapping officer to notify the prosecutor and then the General Directorate of Prisons, which took immediate measures to conduct a search of the cell where Artur Hoxhosmani was being held.
The international drug trafficking group, which included brothers Artur and Klevis Hoxhosmani, was hit by SPAK about a year ago.
"During the control carried out in building "B", an iPhone type mobile device was found and seized, along with an improvised charger and connecting plug. Regarding the case, the relevant procedural actions have been carried out and a report has been kept for the blocking and seizing of prohibited items. The specialized structures of the Investigative Committee, in coordination with SPAK and BKH, are continuing the investigations and further procedures according to the law", - the Directorate of Prisons announced today.
