The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has reacted to the proposal of MP Ulsi Manja to amend the Constitution in order to extend the mandate of SPAK prosecutors.
Asked by journalists about his and the Democratic Party's stance on this initiative, Berisha made strong accusations against Manja, claiming that he is conditioned by issues that, according to him, make him vulnerable.
"Now, regarding Ulsi, who can be called any name. Ulsi is a hostage to the file, which in the records reveals that Ulsi has received 600 thousand euros from the guys in London. And in addition to that, he has also asked for a Louis Vuitton bag, and when he says to her on the phone, who do you have this Louis Vuitton bag for? Aha, he says, I have it for my wife. No, no, he says, you don't make Louis Vuitton bags for her, you have it for someone else, because they also knew about Ulsi's connections, do you understand me or not?
So, Ulsiu, from the moment he is summoned, Ulsiu has at least 8 to 12 years in prison. That is why he is ready to make any compromise, just to escape this file that he never escapes. In addition, he has family members according to media data, I cannot say with documents, but implicated in various corrupt affairs. So, Ulsiu is a slave to his files," said Berisha.
During the communication with the media, Berisha was also asked if he had a congratulatory message for Prime Minister Edi Rama, who a few days ago celebrated his 60th birthday.
In his response, the Democratic leader referred to the protest held on July 4th.
"The most excellent congratulations were given to the youth and civic protest on July 4, which with its grandeur repeated February 20, 1991. It was a protest with the most magnificent, most extraordinary creativity ever seen in Tirana. And they, they, gave it all the congratulations it deserved," said the leader of the DP.
