
Gencian Subashi, arrested two years ago along with his cousin while transporting 17.5 kilograms of cocaine in a van, has finally been put in prison after the decision of the Italian justice. Official sources from the Italian police confirm that the 50-year-old will serve 6 years in prison, after his sentence became final.
Subashi was arrested by the Carabinieri of the Latina Company during a routine check in March 2023, on the road axis between Isonzo and Pontine. In the van of the two cousins, 'bricks' of cocaine were discovered, divided into 79 thousand doses, with a value exceeding 1 million euros. He was kept under house arrest, but was recaptured and escorted to the Pontine prison.
Lieutenant Ludovico Iagnocco announced that the police found Subash in the apartment and executed the arrest warrant. The decision was confirmed by the Court of Appeal and then by the Court of Cassation, thus closing any legal avenues for the 50-year-old Albanian.
The operation that led to the arrest of the two Albanian cousins came from a routine check on the road segment between Isonzo and Pontine. The intervention was carried out in March 2023, where inside the van in which the two Albanian cousins were traveling, 'bricks' of ecococaine were found. The drug was divided into 79,000 doses and with a turnover that could bring in over 1 million euros.
