SPAK has requested a 1-year prison sentence for Dritan Lleshi, but due to the shortened trial, he can serve a maximum of 8 months in prison.
Lleshi is suspected of having taken 400 thousand lek from a family, promising to get their son a job as an environmental inspector in Fier.
According to a report, in 2019, the defendant Dritan Lleshi, known to him as Dritan Ndreca, originally from Puka, or Laçi, resident of the village of Ngurrëz e Vogël, Lushnje, promised AM, AN's wife, the employment of their son, EN, as an environmental inspector in Fier, in exchange for the sum of 400,000 lek.
The defendant told him that he had a brother in Tirana, named PN, who worked at the Ministry of Interior and through him he would intervene so that the complainant's son would win the competition for environmental inspector in Fier or Lushnja. According to the plan presented by the defendant Dritan Lleshi, this would be realized in June 2019, at which time AN also handed over a deposit of 200,000 lek to Dritan Lleshi, who then postponed the opportunity for employment to September of the same year.
The judicial investigation has proven that citizen AN, employed in a fuel sales unit, appeared on 8.10.2020 at the Local Police Directorate, in the village of Gorre, Lushnja, and filed a report.
From the analysis of the evidence and data collected within the framework of the investigation of this criminal proceeding, it is proven that the defendant Dritan Lleshi, with family ties to the PN (uncle's son), committed the criminal offense of "Exercising illegal influence over persons exercising public functions", provided for by Article 245/1 paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code.
The Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime in Tirana has presented the final conclusions before the Special Court of First Instance in charge of the defendant Dritan Lleshi, accused of committing the criminal offense: "Exercising illegal influence over persons exercising public functions", provided for by article 245/1, paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code.
Based on this provision, the Special Prosecution Office requested his sentence of one year in prison, but according to Article 406 of the Criminal Procedure Code, a reduction of the sentence by 1/3, to 8 (eight months), was proposed.
The defendant's trial follows decision no. 717, dated 14.10.2024, declaring the lack of subject matter jurisdiction of criminal proceedings no. 586, of 2020, by the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction, Fier, and sending the acts to the Special Court of First Instance.
The Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime has initiated criminal proceedings 16/2025, against citizen AN for the criminal offense: "Exercising unlawful influence over persons exercising public functions", provided for by article 245/1, paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.
