The Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime has ordered the General Directorate of Prisons to secure the life of Dashnor Dumani.
The coercive measure is requested because Dashnor Dumani is the brother of the fugitive from justice, Nuredin Dumani.
"The General Directorate of Prisons and the relevant officials of the Penitentiary Institution shall take measures for the safety of the life and health of the person under investigation, Dashnor A. Dumani, taking into account his family situation," the court's decision states.
The 40-year-old had been wanted for a year after measures were imposed in absentia for murders, thefts committed within the framework of a criminal organization. The brother of the repentant justice seeker was extradited from Dubai along with Armes Stafa, wanted for money laundering and considered part of the Çopjave group in Elbasan.
Dashnor Dumani is suspected by SPAK of participating in the triple massacre in Bradashesh in 2018, where the brother of Erjon Alibej was also killed, another repentant justice official who is unraveling the saga of crimes in Albania, shedding light on Albanian drug traffickers.
In this incident, according to the court, he is suspected of having played the role of the executioner, a moment denied by Nuredin Dumani, who was recruited by Alibej as a hired killer to carry out the eliminations of opponents, where Alibej's most wanted was Talo Çela. / TCH
