The two former Prosecutors of Saranda, Kledian Llaho and Çlirim Shahini, have been informed of the SPAK accusations.
Llaho is accused of 'corruption', while Shahini, who recently practiced law, is accused of 'exerting unlawful influence'.
Both are suspected of being involved in a corruption case to ease the security measures against Pando Papuçi, who was wanted for 'illegal construction'.
Papuçi, after managing to evade justice for two years, was arrested and appeared before the court for the assessment of the measure, which was judged and changed within 1 hour by Judge Edona Vajushi at the request of the prosecution, Report TV reports.
According to SPAK, it is suspected that former prosecutors have demanded money from Pando Papuçi in exchange for interfering in court proceedings, with the aim of easing the security measure against him.
These actions, documented by the prosecution, prove the existence of an organized corruption scheme, where justice officials sought monetary benefits for favoritism in the handling of criminal cases.
Meanwhile, the Court of Appeal, composed of judges Edlira Petri, Fatri Islamaj and Marsela Pepi, concluded that Pando Papuçi had not committed any criminal offense related to the illegal construction, essentially dismissing the allegations on which the case against him was filed. This conclusion implies that the criminal proceedings initiated by the Saranda Prosecutor's Office were unjustified and based on weak legal grounds, raising doubts about the way the investigation against him was initiated and pursued.
Llaho, according to prosecutor Manjola Kajana, is suspected of having received 30 thousand euros from his friend, businessman Vasil Bakalli. The latter is proven to have received the monetary values in the Greek state. While Shahini is proven to have received 25 thousand euros in exchange for requesting the court to issue a "compulsory appearance" measure, while in total it is suspected that 55 thousand euros were paid for a security measure.
Llaho requested this measure in court and it was approved by Judge Edona Vajushi, but the latter was not charged. Businessman Vasil Bakalli is also under indictment for corruption, who is suspected of having played the role of realtor with prosecutor Llaho.
We recall that on August 8 of this year, the Special Appeals Chamber assessed that the prosecutor of Saranda, Kledian Llaho, had made contradictory, inaccurate and insufficient declarations about his assets, as well as having professional deficiencies, deciding to dismiss him from office.
