Italian authorities have published a photo of Albanian Nazif Muslija, who is accused of murdering his wife Sadjide Muslija.
The 49-year-old woman of Albanian origin from North Macedonia was found dead in her apartment in the province of Ancona in Italy.
It is suspected that she was raped to death by her husband. The alarm was raised by Sadjide Muslija's employer, after she did not show up for work. The police intervened in the apartment, where they found her lying on the bed, with signs of violence.
The 50-year-old was also arrested in April after another serious episode of violence.
He had broken down the bedroom door with an axe, while the woman was forced to take refuge with neighbors. Sadjijda had stated that she had been a victim of physical violence by her husband for two years.
