For the first time, the protest coordination group has addressed a public letter to diplomatic missions. The document lists five main demands, from the resignation of Edi Rama to a caretaker government and constitutional reform.
After 27 days of uninterrupted protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office, the civic movement has taken another step, addressing a public letter to the ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions of Western countries accredited in Albania.
In the letter signed by the Protest Coordination Group, the organizers state that the movement represents a broad and peaceful civic mobilization, which demands the restoration of functional democracy, the rule of law, and political accountability.
For the first time, the names of the members of the protest coordination group are also made public: Entela Koja, Arben Kola, Megan Balaj, Edviol Kulluri, Luçjana Kokaj, Gentjan Progni, Gjon Ndoj, Etleva Merko, Everest Bardhi, Përparim Gjeka, Mevlan Mata, Ilir Xhemalaj and Marjen Rama.
In the document, the protesters present five demands that they consider non-negotiable.
At the top of their list is the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and the current government, which they consider the first step towards a democratic renewal.
The second demand is the creation of a non-partisan transitional technical government with a 12-month mandate, which will administer the reform process and prepare for elections.
The protesters are also demanding a comprehensive constitutional reform, which they say should be approved by popular referendum. This reform includes amending the Electoral Code, reforming the law on financing political parties and civil society organizations, and limiting the prime minister's term to no more than two terms in office.
Another request relates to the repeal of amendments to the Law on Protected Areas, the Law on Cultural Heritage, the Mountain Package and the legal framework for Strategic Investments, which the organizers consider to be acts that have harmed the public interest.
In the final point of the letter, the coordination group proposes the drafting of a new social contract between citizens and the state, through consultations with intellectuals, technical experts, and non-partisan representatives of civil society.
At the end of the letter, the organizers call on diplomatic missions to consider the seriousness of the civic movement and to support, according to them, a peaceful, democratic and inclusive solution to the political crisis in Albania.

Shkëlqesi,
Në emër të Grupit Koordinues të Protestës, që përfaqëson një lëvizje të gjerë dhe paqësore qytetare, e cila ka mobilizuar qytetarët shqiptarë për njëzet e shtatë ditë radhazi, kemi nderin t’ju drejtohemi me frymë transparence, përgjegjësie demokratike dhe respekti për vlerat që bashkojnë vendin tonë me komunitetin euroatlantik.
Shqipëria ndodhet në një moment përcaktues të zhvillimit të saj demokratik. Qytetarët e mbledhur në mënyrë paqësore në sheshet publike në mbarë vendin po ushtrojnë të drejtën e tyre themelore për shprehje qytetare, të udhëhequr nga një angazhim i thellë për shtetin e së drejtës, qeverisjen demokratike dhe dinjitetin njerëzor.
Në këtë kontekst, Grupi Koordinues i Protestës paraqet me respekt kërkesat e mëposhtme, të cilat pasqyrojnë vullnetin e popullit sovran:
1. Dorëheqjen e Kryeministrit dhe të Qeverisë aktuale, si një hap thelbësor dhe i panegociueshëm drejt ripërtëritjes demokratike.
2. Krijimin e një qeverie kalimtare teknike, jopartiake, me mandat dymbëdhjetëmujor për të mbikëqyrur një proces reformash të besueshëm dhe të paanshëm.
3. Reformë tërësore kushtetuese, të mbështetur në parimin e barazisë së plotë të të gjithë qytetarëve shqiptarë para ligjit dhe që të miratohet përmes referendumit popullor.
Kjo reformë duhet të përfshijë, ndër të tjera:
Reformimin e Kodit Zgjedhor.
Reformimin e legjislacionit që rregullon financimin e partive politike dhe organizatave të shoqërisë civile.
Vendosjen e kufizimit të mandateve për postin e Kryeministrit, duke kufizuar çdo individ në jo më shumë se dy mandate, të plota ose të pjesshme, gjatë karrierës së tij politike.
4. Korrigjime të menjëhershme ligjore, duke përfshirë:
Shfuqizimin e ndryshimeve në Ligjin për Zonat e Mbrojtura (Ligji nr. 21/2024).
Shfuqizimin e ndryshimeve në Ligjin për Trashëgiminë Kulturore.
Shfuqizimin e paketës ligjore të njohur si "Paketa e Maleve".
Shfuqizimin e kuadrit ligjor që rregullon Investimet Strategjike.
5. Hartimin e një kontrate të re shoqërore ndërmjet qytetarëve dhe shtetit, që do të zhvillohet përmes konsultimeve të gjera me intelektualë të pavarur, ekspertë teknikë dhe përfaqësues jopartiakë të shoqërisë civile, në përputhje me propozimet e lëvizjes qytetare.
These demands represent the clear and legitimate expression of a sovereign people, committed to democratic values and the rule of law. We respectfully call on you to consider the seriousness and sincerity of this civic movement and to support a peaceful, democratic and inclusive solution to the current political crisis in Albania.

Bravo, tani fituat. Si i behet nese del nje grup tjeter dhe i dergon ambasadave leter qe Rama te rri kryeminister. Cte bejne te shkretet?? Pse i futet te huajt ne siklet, tani filluan dhe pushimet e veres. Ky Kola qe e ka shkrimin si te pules do zevendesoj Ramen ne takime nderkombetare , do flase ne OKB , do takoj Macron, Melonin, do mbroje flamingot,Vjosen, Zvernecin e ku di une. Harron qe duhet ti hypi shqiponjes ne shpine te takoj gjyshin ne maj te malit. Kaq katunare jemi qe te na perfaqesojne keta te mbaruar.
Na kenaqi ky palaço kryeminister duke u shkrare per toke , kur takon Melonin dhe Makronin.
Janë emra që nuk tregojnë absolutisht asgjë Nobody. Protesta ka trup, por jo kokë. Pas 27 ditësh zbulojnë pjesërisht veten dhe bëjnë lëvizjen më bosh të mundshme. Nuk drejtohet një lëvizje e fuqishme nga guida turistike. E frikshme.
Mirè shumé,por atè komisionin e mèparshèm: Kumen, Bogdanin ( Çepanin) etj.etj.kush i shkarloj ?Çdo ditè kèta grupe, grupe, sa komisione do formojnè ?
Paskan leshuar patronazhistet, qe i bejne fresk nje psikopati hajduti narkomani. Njerez qe blehen me 5 leke dhe me nje vend pune. Mendoni pak se ku po jetojme cfare ajri po thithim, sa nevoje kemi per hapesira te blerta qe po zevendesohen me beton, per cmimet e larta, koston e jeteses, per trafikun, per zhutmat, per ujin e pijdhem, per parkingjet, per plerat qr na mbytrn ne Tirane. Te pakten mendoni per femijet tuaj, se luga e gjelles prishur nuk ju mban gjate.
Po ik alja dhe Ilaria s’paskan firmos… sa keq. Tani trupi dipllomatik do i thotë Ramës nga sot e tutje njohim vetëm grupin e kolës????????
