The White House released the first photos from the interior of the new Air Force One, the luxury aircraft that US President Donald Trump used for the first time on an official trip.

The Boeing 747, worth about $400 million, is a gift from Qatar to the US president. It has been customized to meet presidential security standards and offers spacious and comfortable accommodations for the president and members of the US administration.

One of the photos released shows White House staff posing before the first flight. Among them are White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt, Republican election strategist Chris LaCivita, and Homeland Security adviser Stephen Miller.

Another photo shows one of the meeting rooms, equipped with a built-in library, hidden lighting and a large TV screen. The exterior of the plane is dominated by the colors red, white, gold and blue, which, according to reports, were personally chosen by Donald Trump.

Shortly before boarding the plane, Trump told reporters that the country should be proud of this aircraft.

The US president also said he was "excited" about the first flight on the new Air Force One, which transported him to North Dakota for the inauguration of the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library.

Trump said he asked Boeing executives which 747 was the best ever built and was told that Qatar's was the most advanced model. He said he asked to use it temporarily while the new presidential jets are still under construction and are expected to be delivered within two years.

According to Trump's statement, the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, proposed offering the plane to the United States as a gift. The president added that the plane's adaptation to presidential security standards was completed in about five months.

On this trip, Donald Trump was also accompanied by his son, Donald Trump Jr., and his partner, Bettina Anderson.
