Reports say she lost both legs, while their 13-year-old son was also injured. Investigators are looking into several leads on the motive for the attack…
The woman seriously injured in the explosion that occurred near a residential building in Monaco and that allegedly targeted Ukrainian businessman Vadim Ermolaev was not his wife, but his partner of many years, Ukrainian media report.
According to the Daily Mail, citing sources from Ukrainian state media Suspilne, the woman has been identified as Anna Nasobina, 46. She lost both legs in the explosion and is in critical condition in intensive care. Ermolaev was also injured, as was their 13-year-old son.

It was initially reported that the seriously injured was the businessman's official wife, Anna Ermolaeva, 56. However, the latter told Suspilne that she was not at the scene at the time of the explosion and that she is cooperating with the investigating authorities.
Ukrainian political blogger Anatoly Shariy also claimed that next to Ermolaev was Anna Nasobina, with whom, according to him, the businessman has a long-standing relationship and a common child.

Nasobina is originally from Dnipro, studied law and management in Ukraine, and then settled in London. She runs the British company Wycombe Square Investments LLP and is a co-founder of the private club Club Eclectique, which organizes cultural events in London and Monaco.
According to French media reports, investigators are examining the possibility that the explosion was linked to an organized attack. Among the leads being verified is a possible role of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), although no public evidence has been presented to confirm this claim so far.

Ukrainian authorities have previously said that Ermolaev could be targeted because of his suspected links to a financial fraud ring through call centers in Dnipro, allegedly worth around 100 million euros. Ukrainian media also report that investigators are also examining leads related to conflicts in the world of organized crime.

Ermolaev has consistently denied the allegations of criminal activity. His legal representative in Monaco, Theo Koshlyakov, stated that there are no criminal proceedings open against the businessman in any jurisdiction.
The businessman has been living in Monaco since 2021. In 2019, he renounced his Ukrainian citizenship and obtained a Cypriot passport, while at the end of 2023 he was placed under personal sanctions by the authorities in Kiev.

French police and Monaco authorities are continuing their investigations to identify the perpetrator or perpetrators of the explosion, while the suspect is reported to have fled the scene. So far, authorities have not released official conclusions on the motive for the attack. /Adapted from Pamphlet /
