November, the black month of assassinations/ 4 victims and 4 mafia incidents

November, which usually marks a month of holidays and historic dates for the country, this year turned into a dark period of crime. Four consecutive attacks from south to north hit Albania, leaving four victims.

The killings began on the evening of November 1, in the village of Gjormë in Selenica, where 36-year-old Dalan Alliaj was killed at the door of his apartment with six bullets. According to investigators, he had been called by his cousin, Bertil Alliaj, a fugitive for years and convicted in absentia for the Çole massacre. The meeting, which, according to the family, was supposed to clarify a conversation, ended in execution. The perpetrator was arrested a few hours later, but the official motive has not yet been clarified, while suspicions are related to internal family conflicts.

Just ten days later, on November 11, the country was shaken by a serious attack near Rinas airport. Gilmando Dani, a close friend of Emiljano Shullazi, was shot with automatic rifle fire while traveling with AMP officer Mustafa Sheqeri, who died after four days in the hospital. The perpetrators burned the car a few minutes after the incident. Although weeks have passed, no one has been arrested for the crime.

On November 25, Lushnja was involved in a criminal episode. The car of Julian Sula, known as "Juli of Pashako", was shot with a Kalashnikov rifle. He escaped without injury, while the perpetrators abandoned and burned the vehicle they were using. The police escorted dozens of people in the context of his early conflicts with rival groups, but the exact trail of the assassination remains unclear and no perpetrator has been identified and arrested.

The series of serious events ended on November 30 in Elbasan. Businessman Edmond Hyka, known as Mondi Mëhalla, was executed inside his “Range Rover” near the “Xhaxhi Oil” gas station. The perpetrators seem to have followed his movements and left in a black “Audi”, which was found burned a day later in the Miraka area. Investigations are focusing on possible conflicts that may have led to this assassination. Police have arrested several suspects in connection with the incident.

With four murders and four victims, two of which still have no identified perpetrators, November of this year is marked as one of the worst months for crime in the country, significantly increasing insecurity among citizens./ A2 CNN
