FIFA President Gianni Infantino has attended 24 matches in just over two weeks during the 2026 World Cup in North America, traveling to various cities in the US, Canada and Mexico.
This year's tournament is spread across three countries and 16 host cities, while the number of matches has increased due to the expanded group stage format.

In FIFA's sustainability and human rights strategy for the 2026 World Cup, the president stated that the organization is committed to contributing to issues such as climate, health, human rights and social inclusion.
However, investigations by BBC Verify and BBC Sport have tracked a private jet linked to FIFA and Infantino, which made 27 flights during the tournament to cities where the president was seen at matches.

According to analyses, the impact of this aircraft on the environment during the first two weeks of the tour is estimated to be approximately equal to the annual emissions of 78 average people.
Infantino has often attended up to two matches a day, in different cities separated by hundreds of miles, and on some occasions has made up to three flights in one day.
Reports indicate that he used a private Gulfstream G650ER jet, and has previously been linked to Qatar Airways Executive jets.
The BBC has sought confirmation from FIFA about these trips but has not received a response. However, flight records and public photographs of Infantino at stadiums match the itineraries of the tracked plane.
His longest trip in the first two weeks was about 2,800 miles (4,507 km), from Vancouver to Miami, after the Australia-Turkey match.
On another day, June 15, he traveled over 2,700 miles (about 4,000 km) from Miami to Seattle to watch Belgium vs. Egypt, before then continuing on to Los Angeles for the Iran vs. New Zealand match.

Another busy day was June 26, when the plane departed from Miami, made a brief stop in Dallas, and continued on to Seattle, before returning to Miami again after the Egypt – Iran match.
According to the BBC's analysis, the plane traveled at least 31,144 miles (50,122 km) and spent more than 66 hours in the air during the period analyzed.
At the 2022 Qatar World Cup, Infantino attended all 64 matches, where the distances between stadiums were much shorter, in contrast to the current tournament spread across an entire continent.
