Albanians continue to shock Italy when it comes to domestic crimes.
A 49-year-old Albanian-Macedonian woman was beaten to death by her husband. According to Italian media, Sadjide Muslija from North Macedonia was found dead in her apartment in Pianello Vallesina, a small village in Monte Roberto in the province of Ancona. She was found with numerous signs of violence, while her husband Nazif Muslija, 50, is being sought.
Officers found her dead in bed with signs of beating and visible head injuries. Her employer had notified the police when she failed to arrive.
The couple was in the process of divorcing, while according to Italian media, he had returned to live with her despite the separation. He turns out to have a previous precedent. After there were several complaints from the 49-year-old woman about physical violence from her husband. In April, he turns out to have been arrested for violence.
He broke down the bedroom door with an axe after Muslija took refuge in a neighbor's house and suspected him of infidelity. The victim reported that she had been physically abused by her husband for two years. Last July, the man reached a plea agreement and the couple later reunited.
