Renowned actor Mehdi Malkaj delivered one of the strongest speeches at the 28th day of the protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office, accusing Prime Minister Edi Rama of destroying the country and demanding his arrest.

In his speech, Malkaj focused on the arrest of several protesters, asking why, according to him, citizens and not the prime minister are brought to justice.

" I heard that some of the protest boys have been arrested. When we are equal before the law, why don't they put this masker in jail? Why don't they put this guy in there to rot? ", the actor said.

Malkaj also used harsh tones towards the prime minister, saying that Edi Rama's very name "pollutes the Albanian language."

" My predecessors enriched the Albanian language, because Edi Rama, that scoundrel, the filth, the stench... because his name makes our language dirty ," he declared.

The actor also accused Rama of "selling out Albania," citing the sea, Vlora, Lezha, and Butrint as examples.

" He took away 12 miles of sea, Vlora, Lezha, Butrint, we no longer have them, he sold them. We must see all the things and love our homeland. There is nothing more beautiful than Albania ," said Mehdi Malkaj.

The actor's speech was met with applause from the protesters gathered in front of the Prime Minister's Office, while chants against the government continued throughout the rally.

"The Red Book has the lands of all Albanians", protester: The file that will put Rama in jail

Minute by minute/ Four weeks of protest, citizens determined to remove Rama

Activist Edison Lika focused his speech at the civic protest on the book "The Albanian Files." He said that this book summarizes projects that have been planned for Albania in collaboration with international architects.

Lika accused Prime Minister Rama of deciding the fate of the country for the coming decades, while declaring that the protesters will not withdraw from the square.

While making a comparison with developments in Serbia, the activist stated that civic resistance has led President Vučić to warn that he will resign within a few weeks, while adding that the same thing will happen in Albania.

"They thought we would get tired, but we are stronger and clearer."

I will talk about "The Albanian Files", a book with over 700 pages, there are the lands of all Albanians. Rama has decided what will happen to Albania in 100 years, our lands, rivers, pastures are part of projects that we don't even know about.

During this time, there are destructive projects, just like there are others that have been canceled. This is the file that will accompany Rama straight to the cell.

How long will we stay here? We will stay until the end. After a resistance of over a year and a half, the president of Serbia said he will resign, these dictators will leave in a week, a month, a year.

"This is not a sprint race, it's a marathon, this is a game of nerves, but we don't give up," the activist said.

The Italian politician participated in the 28th national protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office and expressed support for Albanian citizens...

An important development marked the 28th national protest taking place on Saturday afternoon in front of the Prime Minister's Office building in Tirana, where Italian MEP Ilaria Salis joined.

In her speech to the protesters, Salis described the rally as an example of citizenship and democracy, stating that "the best Europe is not seen in Brussels, but here in Tirana," where, according to her, citizens are defending the right to decide on their future.

" It is a great honor for me to be here with you today. On these streets, in the heart of the Flamingo Revolution, we see the best of Europe. Here, people are defending with their voice and presence their intelligence, their needs, their dreams and their fundamental right to decide for themselves their future ," she said.

The MEP also focused on the projects affecting the island of Sazan and the Narta lagoon, emphasizing that they should remain protected assets and not be transformed into luxury destinations for a few people.

" Albania, its land, its beauty and its cultural heritage are not commodities to be sold. Sazan Island and the Narta Lagoon must remain protected areas for everyone and for generations to come. They must not be turned into an amusement park for the rich ," Salis said.

At the end of her speech, Salis said that the protesters' cause is not only important for Albania, but also for Europe, calling for the continuation of civic resistance.

" What you are doing today is very important. You are writing history and showing a path that can be followed by other peoples. Albania is not for sale. Europe is not for sale. The world is not for sale. The rights of people and nature must always come before money and the interests of the powerful ," said the MEP.

Today the protest has entered its 28th day. But even though the protesters have faced attacks and pressure for 4 weeks, the number of participants still remains very high. Their demand is clear: Rama's departure and a change in the political caste in the country.

The civic protest against the government and the political class continued today with strong calls to justice institutions, with one of the strongest messages being addressed to SPAK.

Speaking before the protesters, a citizen called on the Special Prosecution Office to intervene against key figures in Albanian politics, stating that only their arrest can pave the way for a new Albania.

" I want to make a call to SPAK to make this revolution happen peacefully. Today SPAK has the opportunity to become a hero for our children. So that the children of the new Albania that we want to build have a hero SPAK. Investigate Edi Rama, investigate the ministers and put them in prison. An arrest of Rama would pave the way for a new Albania. Of course, the arrest of Berisha too ," he declared.

The speech was met with applause from the protesters, who continued to chant "Rama in prison" and "Berisha in prison", slogans that have become a permanent part of the protest.

For 28 days, citizens have been gathering every evening in front of the Prime Minister's Office, demanding the removal of the government and a change in the political system. Organizers have stated that the protest is no longer just against the government, but against the entire political caste, while demanding the investigation and bringing to justice the officials who, according to them, are responsible for the situation in the country.

Minute by minute/ Four weeks of protest, citizens determined to remove Rama

Amidst irony, satire, and political messages, protesters used creative banners to express their dissatisfaction with Prime Minister Edi Rama and convey their demands for change.

The 28th national protest against the government was characterized not only by the high participation of citizens, but also by banners with strong, ironic and creative messages, which targeted Prime Minister Edi Rama and the political class.

Citizens filled the boulevard with banners in Albanian and English, conveying messages against corruption, governance, and what they describe as a lack of listening to citizens' demands.

One of the most commented banners carried the message: "You talk about rebuilding Ukraine, but you don't listen to the Albanians on the streets," while another mocked the prime minister with the words: "What is your profession? My profession: Fraudster. - You can't find a more honest person."

There were also satirical banners, where protesters addressed Rama with the question: "Will you be on vacation this year?", accompanied by the ironic response: "I will actually be in protest all the time. Have a great time."

Among the crowd, messages in English were also seen, such as: "Albania belongs to its people" and "Day 28. We are still here. Democracy can't wait", which aimed to attract the attention of international opinion and foreign media present at the protest.

Another banner read: "Hey Rama, nobody paid us to be here! We all hate you for free!", while another emphasized: "Capital yes, anonymity no. Albania is not for sale."

The protest also featured banners demanding action from the judiciary, as well as messages linking the hydropower issue to SPAK. There was also a lack of satirical caricatures and illustrations mocking political figures.

Among the strongest banners was the one with the photomontage of Edi Rama and Sali Berisha behind bars, with the inscription: "The end has come for you!", accompanied by the slogan: "Rama in prison, Berisha in prison!".

The banners became one of the most prominent elements of the 28th protest, reflecting through irony, satire, and political messages the dissatisfaction of some of the protesters towards the government and the political class.

Mother Liza

The national protest against the government, which has entered its 28th day today, has been joined by one of the most well-known figures of civic resistance in Albania, Mother Liza, the symbol of the residents of "May 5", who clashed with the police during the demolition of their homes.

Speaking to the protesters, she stated that she has decided to join this movement, as, according to her, Prime Minister Edi Rama should leave power as soon as possible.

" I decided to join because this one should have left an hour ago, but he didn't leave with 'Rama go away', he wants to beat him, just like he kicked us out of our homes. They dragged me away, 1,500 police surrounded my house, they put my children in prison ," said Mother Liza.

She accused the government of leaving citizens without economic support, while saying that her family has been left homeless and has been forced to change their rental apartment several times.

" I am without money and without a house. We have changed houses four times. He only increased my pension by 2 thousand lek. He is only used to cheating, because he has money to support the whole world, not Albania ," she said.

In her speech, Mother Liza also reacted to the statements of Prime Minister Rama, who previously described Albanians as "sheep".

" He called us sheep, who are the sheep? A man who is a man comes out before the people, he doesn't hide ," she declared.

In conclusion, the symbol of the "May 5" resistance said that the protest should not stop until the prime minister leaves.

" We have taken a house, the facade is black, there is nothing inside. This protest should end when Edi Rama leaves ," said Mother Liza.

28 days of protest and revolt, citizens once again take to the streets against Rama and the political caste

Minute by minute/ Four weeks of protest, citizens determined to remove Rama
The protest begins on the 28th.

The main demand remains the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama, while the protest coordination group has also made public other demands, such as the creation of a transitional technical government, constitutional changes, reform of the Electoral Code, and limiting the prime minister's mandates.

Citizens do not stop the revolt against the government and the political caste. Today marks the 28th day of the protest, where massive participation is expected again.

The protesters initially gathered at "Skënderbej" Square, from where they began their march towards the Prime Minister's Office, where they are expected to deliver speeches and reiterate the demands that have now become the axis of this civic movement.

What began 28 days ago as a protest against the tourism project in Zvërnec has gradually transformed into a broad movement against the government of Edi Rama and the entire political caste. As the days passed, citizens from different backgrounds and beliefs joined the protest, turning it into a revolt demanding a change in the political system.

The main demand remains the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama, while the protest coordination group has also made public other demands, such as the creation of a transitional technical government, constitutional changes, reform of the Electoral Code, and limiting the prime minister's mandates.

Even today, during the march, the chants that have accompanied the protest since the first days are echoing in the streets of Tirana: "Rama go away", "Rama resign", "Rama in prison", "Berisha in prison", "New Albania", while citizens accuse the political class of failing to represent their interests.

Organizers have called for as much participation as possible in this Saturday's national protest, describing it as another key moment in the civic movement, which has been continuing uninterrupted for 28 days and is exerting increasing pressure on the government and the entire political class.

Dita e 28-të e protestës, emigranti nga Italia: Më morën pronat, drejtësia më la në baltë

Minute by minute/ Four weeks of protest, citizens determined to remove Rama
