Protesters are demanding an investigation and confiscation of the assets of corrupt politicians.
During the 29th protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office building, protesters called on the Special Prosecutor's Office (SPAK) to investigate politicians who, according to them, have been involved in corruption and to take action to confiscate their assets.
They unanimously express that the fight against corruption should be accompanied by the seizure of the assets of officials who have abused their office.
"We want the confiscation of the assets of all corrupt politicians, even those who have been there before. This is the new Albania of another generation ," said one protester.
He also asked SPAK to take action against officials who, according to him, have harmed the interests of citizens, while calling on Prime Minister Edi Rama to resign.
Protester: You are afraid of the free vote from free elections. You came out after 35 years when they thought that no one reacts here, that here you can steal. That here only people without dignity exist. Tell me a deputy elected by the people's vote to come out here to apologize. Who has apologized in this country? Who has apologized for the civil war in 97. Who has apologized for mass immigration? These people promise Europe. These people do not meet the minimum standards. Everything is more expensive. You are the ones who have always sabotaged this economy, this people.
I speak according to my life, you hold us accountable, why should we hold you accountable? You said that the government is yours. Today you behave like an owner. Like an owner of the principality, the municipal government. How is that possible? We want the confiscation of the assets of all corrupt politicians, even those who were there before. This is the new Albania of another generation, not like the one you promoted, you ordinary fraudster. Even the Erdoğan Vuçić brothers have left you. You are not finding any part of Machiavel to apply one fraud to another. You are a coward, you do not resign. You wanted to divide us. Resign. Today we cannot all be together. But everywhere in every family, 80% of them, except for the servile ones, are against you. If you go to the elections tomorrow, it is your political funeral. If you do not resign, the whole of Albania will resign. I appeal to every Albanian, everyone who has love for their family, you should know that politics has taken you away. You should return as a duty to your ancestors. We must have respect for our history. For ourselves, our dignity. To take our destinies into our own hands. For 5 thousand years, no one has been able to tear it apart. These are tearing it apart with laws. Where are our resources? You are a failure. All the houses. We built the hotels, these people built them. If you don't leave, we will hold all of Albania hostage. You show tourism. Public transport is the most degenerate you can find. Stop the deception. Resign. Your time is up. We will build the new Albania.
