Sindi Manushi, the first Albanian woman to be elected mayor in Italy, joined the 29th protest held in front of the Prime Minister's Office building in Tirana, where she gave a speech to the protesters.
During her speech, Manushi criticized the governance of Prime Minister Edi Rama, stating that, according to her, he has built over 13 years a model based on propaganda and facade.
"Edi Rama is in the twilight of his career, while this protest is on the rise. For 13 years, he has only been dealing with facade and propaganda," she said.
Manushi also said that, in her opinion, the Prime Minister is wrong if he thinks that citizens will give up opposing the government.
"It's crazy to think that we will merge. Citizens will continue to raise their voices until the change they seek is achieved," she declared to the participants in the rally.
"I did not come as an institution. I am not an observer. I am one of you. I am Albanian and you are my people. I came to thank you for the courage shown during these days. You dear fellow countrymen managed to tear the veil of hypocrisy with the villains Rama has governed for 13 years. He started his career dealing with palace facades and continues to deal with propaganda facades against the Albanian reality. But you are the Albanian reality. Do not give up, organize yourself.
