From 19:30, the 29th citizen protest is taking place on the 'Dëshmorët e Kombit' boulevard, demanding the resignation of Edi Rama as Prime Minister. This is the demand that unites the protesters, regardless of the groups they belong to, or the calls that are made from time to time, whether against Rama or Sali Berisha.
"Stop the deception, answer the people," was one of the messages that one of the protesters directed at Edi Rama through a megaphone, while another said that "autocrats do not resign, but are removed."
A large protest is expected to be held in Tirana on July 4th with the participation of the diaspora, while those present were called upon to resist.
"Edi Rama, your time is up, resign. After the 4th, Albanian citizens will decide their own fate," was another message given by the protest.
A call during the protest was addressed to SPAK to arrest those who, according to the protesters, have stolen public property and those of Albanians, Edi Rama and Sali Berisha.
Meanwhile, another protester has called on small parties not to exploit this civic protest in their own interests.
"Small parties should not use this protest for campaigns and personal purposes. Not only Rama and Berisha, but 140 parliamentarians in prison. Albania of Albanians, death to traitors," he said.
During the protest, it was announced that a group of MEPs would join the protest on Monday, while the Diplomatic Corps, especially the US Embassy, was asked to react regarding the protest.
"It's the first time something like this has happened in Albania, embassies must react, we have the support of internationals," was another message.
