Another person has been arrested in connection with the murder of businessman Edmond Mëhalla alias Edmond Hyka, an event that occurred a few days ago in Elbasan.
The arrest was carried out in Prrenjas, where 33-year-old Nevzat Spaho, a person with a criminal record, was captured.
It is suspected that Spaho is the person who shot Hyka while the latter was inside his vehicle.
Ghino Ago, the businessman's former partner, played a key role in helping the now-wanted assassins, Marcelo Arani and Armando Kola. According to the investigation team, which uncovered the dynamics of the incident 48 hours later, Ghino Ago gave the killers the getaway car.
Although not officially confirmed, the main lead in the investigation into the murder remains business disputes, as relations between Ago and Mahalla had broken off two years ago.
Although the business partnership was terminated in 2023, the conflicts between them continued in recent days. Along with Ghino Ago, the guard at the gas station owned by the victim, where the incident occurred, was also arrested for failing to report the crime.
