Businessman and strategic investor Pëllumb Gjoka has spoken publicly for the first time regarding the accusations against him in the "Metamorphosis" case, categorically denying involvement in the criminal events for which he is being investigated.
Gjoka claimed that the charges against him were filed based on materials from the Sky ECC platform, while saying that a "public trial" was held against him.
"I am being tried on Sky ECC rumors. I have been given a public trial. What I have not heard about myself, I have been accused of murder, I have been accused of trafficking, etc. Public trials are not held to uncover the truth," Gjoka declared.
He stated that he has been in detention for three years and that, according to him, there is still no clear explanation for the responsibilities attributed to him.
"I've been in detention for 3 years and I don't know what I did. Even though the prosecutors know they're wrong, they continue to think the same thing. They've publicly condemned me, it's too much," he said.
Gjoka also raised allegations about the way the criminal proceedings against him were initiated. According to him, the investigations began earlier than officially stated, while reports and materials were used in the process that, as he claims, do not prove his involvement.
The businessman denied having been a user of the Sky ECC platform, emphasizing that there is no written evidence linking him to this communication platform.
"I am in prison for a secret. How do you identify the user code, when there are 15 thousand people who use Sky? I have not been a Sky user. There is no written proof that I could be a Sky user," he said.
Gjoka also spoke about the accusation related to the murder of Gjin Ndoj, stating that according to the accusation, he is sometimes presented as the organizer of the event and sometimes as a person who had knowledge of it.
"Whoever committed the murder, whoever assisted in the murder, whoever provided the killers with a car, is a criminal," he said.
