A 45-year-old Albanian woman has been stabbed to death by her ex-husband, also Albanian. The mother of two daughters was stabbed to death on the street in Tolentino in the province of Macerata near Ancona.
The incident happened shortly after 8pm on Viale Benadduci, in the city centre, in front of dozens of people walking on the street.
According to Italian media, the victim is Gentiana Hudhra, 45 years old. She was killed by her ex-husband Nikollaq Hudhra, 55 years old. They had separated 3 years ago. When the police arrived, the man was sitting on a bench and did not resist. According to initial information, the perpetrator suffers from psychiatric problems.
According to Italian media, the woman was on her way to work, having worked as a night nurse. Meanwhile, it is learned that the children are currently in the care of social services.
Witnesses themselves have given details of the crime. " I heard a scream and came out of the bar, the woman was on the ground and he kept kicking her, then he sat on a bench and said 'I did what I had to do,' " said one witness.
