6 people blackmailed a 29-year-old man and his family, one of the perpetrators arrested
A 29-year-old man and his family were blackmailed by 6 people into giving them a sum of money they claimed these citizens owed them.
The police explain that the 6 suspected perpetrators have been identified, 3 of them brothers. While one of the perpetrators has been arrested, the other is wanted, and 4 others have been criminally prosecuted.
The arrested person was identified as Ersi Cekani, while his brother, citizen AC, 28 years old, was declared wanted, and another brother, 35 years old, was also criminally prosecuted.
"The police operation codenamed "Pretendimi" is being finalized by Police Station No. 4. They threatened and blackmailed a 29-year-old man and his family members, for giving them a sum of money that they claimed these citizens owed them, the 6 suspected perpetrators (3 of them brothers) are identified.
One of them is arrested, 4 are being prosecuted, and efforts are underway to capture the other.
1 vehicle is seized.
The services of Police Commissariat No. 4, in continuation of their work to prevent and crack down on illegality, after receiving a notification that a 29-year-old man and his family were being threatened for giving a sum of money, immediately organized the work to identify and capture them.
As a result of the rapid professional actions carried out by the Crime Investigation specialists of the Police Commissariat No. 4, within the framework of the police operation codenamed "Pretendimi", 5 suspected perpetrators were identified, of whom:
-citizen EC, 26 years old, was arrested in flagrante
delicto; -proceedings were initiated for citizens AC, 35 years old, RB, 35 years old, SB, 19 years old, residents of Librazhd and LF, 32 years old, resident of Peshkopi;
-citizen AC, 28 years old, brother of the arrested 26-year-old and the prosecuted 35-year-old, was declared wanted.
The investigation suspects that these 6 citizens, in collaboration with each other, threatened and blackmailed the 29-year-old and his family via mobile phone, claiming that these citizens owed him a considerable amount of money.
Work is underway to capture citizen AC and document the circumstances of the case.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution Office for further action, for the criminal offense of "Coercion by threat or violence for the provision of property", committed in collaboration," the police announced.
