Three people have been arrested by police in Vlora after holding a person from Kosovo hostage for 2 weeks, threatening him to take 70 thousand euros.
Vilson Agaj, Orest Çorapaj and Julian Zogaj are the 3 people arrested from the villages of Lumi i Vlorës.
It is reported that it was the hostage's sister who called the Swedish police to report the incident.
The hostage was identified as Fisnik Xhaka and was raped by the 3 arrested.
During the operation conducted by the Vlora Police and Operational forces, a quantity of cannabis and a radio transceiver similar to those of the Police were found and seized in Julian Zogaj's apartment, where Xhaka was held hostage.
"Vlora/The police operation codenamed "Hostage" is finalized."
They held a citizen from Kosovo hostage and raped him, with the aim of obtaining 70,000 euros, and 3 citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto.
Suspected narcotics, Cannabis Sativa, and a radio transceiver similar to those of the Police were seized.
The Serious Crimes Investigation Sector at the Vlora Police Department and the Operational Support Investigation Section at the Vlora Police Department, after receiving information from family members that a member of their family was being held hostage in an apartment in the city of Vlora, immediately organized the work to locate the apartment, capture the perpetrators and release the hostage-taker.
As a result of quick and professional actions, within the framework of the police operation codenamed "Hostage", it became possible to capture the following citizens in flagrante delicto:
JZ, 25 years old, O. Ç., 18 years old and VA, 35 years old, all three residents of Vlora.
The investigation revealed that these citizens, in an apartment on "Janaq Kilica" street, "Osman Haxhiu" neighborhood, had kidnapped and held hostage since 28.11.2025 citizen FX, 39 years old, resident of Mitrovica, Kosovo, physically raping him and demanding the sum of 70,000 euros for his release.
During the police operation, the immediate release of the hostage was possible, who also received the necessary medical care.
During the search of the apartment, in the possession of citizen JZ, a quantity of suspected narcotic substance of the Cannabis Sativa type was found and seized, as well as a radio transceiver similar to those of the Police.
The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Vlora, for the criminal offenses of "Kidnapping or holding a person hostage", committed in collaboration,
"Production and sale of narcotics", and "Unlawful wearing of uniform", the police announced.
