Just two days after "Ora News" published the scandal of the entry of Kosovar model, Ziza Pajaziti, into the Drenova High Security Prison, the Korça Prosecutor's Office has requested that the directorate of this prison familiarize itself with the practice of this case.
The request to withdraw the practice of imprisoning Ziza Pajaziti is motivated based on an open criminal proceeding for "Abuse of office" against the former director of Drenova prison, Fatjon Fasho, and the chief of prison police, Sokol Kaçoli.
The two senior officials of the Drenova prison were dismissed a week ago, due to the media coverage of this scandal and the seizure of 4 "Iphone" and "Samsung" phones, which were used by the three main members of Laert Haxhiu's group, such as Orgest Bilbili, Anterio Kaloshi and Haxhiu himself.
To clarify all the circumstances of the case, the prosecution has requested to administer the prison's practice and regulations regarding meetings held by prison inmates with outsiders.
The regulation stipulates that no person who is not officially married to the convict may enter into private meetings with the convict.
Therefore, in this case, it is being verified under what status the request of life-sentenced Vladimir Kurti to schedule a special meeting with the Kosovo model, Ziza Pajaziti, was accepted.
Up to this stage of the prosecution's investigation, the suspicions are that people from outside the prison, including notaries, have falsified documents, which presented a fictitious situation that a marriage had been celebrated between Vladimir Kurti and Ziza Pajaziti.
According to documents submitted to the Drenova Prison Directorate, the meeting with Vladimir Kurti on June 12th was concluded. However, while Pajaziti was accommodated in the special room, the prison police accompanied Laert Haxhiu to this room, not Vladimir Kurti.
Such a tactic has been repeated several times in Korça prison, so the prosecution has already launched an investigation to "scan" several files of convicted persons, to learn about the private meetings they had and whether the women were people in common-law marriage or were outsiders.
The situation of bringing female escorts into prisons has become fashionable. Often, they enter disguised in letters as the wives of prisoners or their cousins.
