The police have finalized the "Ndërmollasi" operation, which uncovered an environment where cannabis was processed and prepared, which was then released on the market for sale. The police announced that they have arrested 7 people.
Official sources explained that 12 kilograms and 671 grams of suspected cannabis, combat ammunition, 4.5 kg of suspected homemade explosives, 1 vehicle, 4 trafficked and modified motorcycles, 7 cell phones and a sum of euros were seized.
In implementation of the plan of measures to combat criminal activities in the field of narcotics, based also on information obtained operationally, the services of the Narcotics Investigation Sector, the Serious Crimes Investigation Sector, the sections of the Operational Force and "Eagle", in cooperation with those of the Shkodra Police Commissariat, have exercised intensive controls in various environments, with the aim of ascertaining and combating cases of criminal activities in this field.
As a result, the police operation codenamed "Nëndërmollasi" was finalized. As part of this operation, the following citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto:
-RM, 35 years old, LM, 51 years old, AZ, 22 years old, LK, 46 years old, PK, 43 years old, ZK, 18 years old, and a 16-year-old, all residents of Shkodra.
During the operation, a search was conducted at the apartment of citizen RM (the organizer of the criminal activity) and the surrounding premises, where the following were found and seized: 12 kilograms and 670 grams of suspected cannabis narcotic substance in the processing phase, combat ammunition, 4.5 kg of suspected homemade explosive material, 1 vehicle, 4 suspected trafficked motorcycles, without license plates and chassis numbers, 7 mobile phones and 700 euros.
Work is underway to fully document this criminal activity and to identify other citizens involved.
The procedural materials were referred to the Shkodra Prosecutor's Office for further action.
