Journalist Fatos Mahmutaj said that DP leader Sali Berisha will never voluntarily go to SPAK to provide clarifications about the state crime of January 21, but will be taken by force by the authorities.
The journalist, who was injured during the protest when 4 protesters were killed on January 21, 2011, said that Berisha was summoned not simply as a person with knowledge of the event, but as a person under investigation.
Mahmutaj added that Berisha will be punished for this crime, as according to him, there is no need for any statement, considering that the cameras filmed everything that happened that day.
"Berisha made violence an institution when he governed himself and now he relies on everything on violence. Berisha does not know any other language until he is dragged by the police to SPAK. He said this on Monday, today is Friday, it has been 5 days since he said that he did not receive the invitation. Meanwhile, in the three ways that the invitation was sent to him, he received it. The best defense for Berisha is attack, he attacks because he considers it defense. There is no other solution, it only works in this form.
"To be honest, Berisha will only appear accompanied by the police, he will never appear voluntarily. He knows what awaits him at SPAK, he awaits the communication of the accusation, he will not be called for statements but will give statements as a person under investigation. Berisha cooked up January 21, he has it on his shoulders and the stain of January 21 will never be removed. I am still skeptical that he will play games like he did with the wanderings in institutions, but Berisha will end up convicted for January 21. He will give statements as an accused and not as a person who has knowledge of the event. Berisha has said without stopping I killed 4 protesters, he has admitted all this. Berisha no longer needs to give statements about the circumstances, he will give statements only as an accused and not as a person who has knowledge of the event," said Mahmutaj.
According to him, Basha will also be considered a defendant in this case. He also mentioned several statements made by Basha before and after the murders, saying that he is being "naive."
"Since the rift with Berisha, Basha has threatened him with public statements that he will appear there and say what he knows. Basha has information because he knew because of his position, because of his closeness to Berisha, the closest collaborator and the man who was seen in all corners of the prime minister's office, from Berisha's office in the corridors, up on the terrace, at all strategic points on January 21. The day before, January 20, 2011, Basha was at the state police to take measures for the announced protest. Asked by journalists, I was present there myself, if it escalated to violence, he said with all his might that we have taken measures for everything and we will not be responsible for what we will do to the violators. He was prepared. Almost 1 year ago, Basha gave an interview to Voice of America and January 21 was mentioned. During this interview he gave, he said that on January 21, at first they told me that policemen were killed, then protesters.
So Basha is playing the naive game that has no value now, where 1 day before the protest he said we have taken measures and we will not be held responsible, where the crime took place he says I had no knowledge and says I was told that police officers were killed. So he comes from a stupid devil from a complete naive. For Berisha I would say that he does well to say what he knows. He can be summoned again, because the prosecution will most likely take Basha as a defendant, but since he had no backbone and was not a decision-maker, at least he should say what he knows to further clarify the investigation. His statements would help the investigation to some extent, but I think it is not necessary to even call Berisha to give statements because it is enough to watch the TV footage and everything is obvious from where the shot was fired, who was killed and how he was killed, etc. , he said to "Report TV".
