A couple was found dead in their home in Brest, France on Thursday.
The alarm was raised around 4:30 p.m. when a resident of the Europe neighborhood called police to report two gunshots at 101 Rue Général-Paulet, Le Telegramme reports.
Upon arrival, officers discovered an Albanian man and woman, aged 30 and 36, as well as a hunting rifle.
According to media information, the investigation is leaning towards a case of murder and subsequent suicide.
According to initial investigations, the incident is suspected to have been a man who killed his wife, and then killed himself.
The couple had two children, one 8-year-old who was found locked in the house after the explosions and the other 3-year-old, who was in kindergarten during the tragedy.
