The operation codenamed "Tracking" is continuing in the Kruja area, while investigations are focusing on unraveling the serious incident at the Rinas roundabout.
The Serious Crimes Specialists of the Tirana Police Department, in cooperation with the Kruja Police Station, have discovered a residence in the village of Zall, Fushë-Krujë, where a full arsenal of explosive weapons, firearms and ammunition was found, which are suspected to have been used or provided for criminal activity.
The findings in the apartment included:
3 TNT cartridges;
12 assault hand grenades;
quantities of explosives ready for detonation, assembled with caps, fuses and mobile phones (homemade mines);
3 grenade launchers, detonator caps and 5 mobile phones used for activation;
4 firearms (2 automatics and 2 rifles), 8 rifles and weapon parts;
6000 cartridges of various calibers;
2 kg and 25 grams of cannabis.
Following the procedural actions, the owner of the apartment, Ylli Zalla, 48 years old, a person with a criminal record, has been declared wanted.
Police are working intensively to locate and capture him, while investigations are focused on identifying possible connections that the 48-year-old may have with the incident that occurred near Rinas, police say.
