US President Donald Trump has said the US military will launch a new wave of strikes on Iran later. Speaking to reporters ahead of a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the NATO summit, the US president said he would send them a warning.
"They launched some drones and a missile at the ships because they were in the strait, which they have the right to do. And so we had a very hard time last night. We're probably going to hit them hard again tonight. I'm going to give them a little warning. We're going to hit them hard tonight. But we'll see how it goes ," Trump said.
The American president called the Iranians the bullies of the Middle East, while also reiterating his red line.
"It's very simple, they can't have a nuclear weapon ," he added.
Trump also offers insight into how he sees the peace negotiation process with Tehran.
"We'll talk about this war, they'll agree on everything, and then they'll go hold a press conference and say, 'We never even talked about this ,'" Trump said.
Trump also repeats an insult he used in his speech against Iran earlier at the NATO summit.
"They are stupid. There is something wrong with these people ," he concluded.
