40-year-old Muçi Shaljani Sheqeri, who was injured in the assassination attempt that took the life of Gilmando Dani near Rinas Airport, is still in serious condition with 10 bullets in his body, one of which he took to the head.
According to sources from the Trauma Hospital, it is learned that he continues to be intubated under intensive care.
The 40-year-old had been an employee of the Police Supervision Agency since September, while his presence in a car with one of the most well-known characters in the criminal world raises strong suspicions.
Shaljani had joined the AMP with a provisional employment contract for 3 months in September, a period in which the institution was led by Artiol Saliasi, seconded, which ends in mid-December.
Sources at DSIK, the institution that verifies the background of AMP employees, indicate that Sheqeri did not appear to have had a security certificate nor to have applied for one.
A very important document for the integrity of the AMP employee's image is suspected of being manipulated.
2 officers of Police Station No. 3, Bruno Cara, a specialist in crime investigation, and Arshim Zajmi, a specialist in community policing, compiled the Certificate of Credibility for Muçi Shaljani, without reflecting in it the data that constitute a cause for the violation of security conditions. This certificate is a legal process of control and verification of the image of employees or candidates who intend to be employed in this structure. Cara and Zajmi have been detained by the AMP and the file has been transferred to the prosecutor's office, on charges of falsifying documents and abuse of office.
