New details have emerged regarding the injury of police officer Anxhelo Kumaraku.
The suspected perpetrators are two brothers who allegedly had a dispute over a debt with the policeman's neighbor. At the time of the incident, Kumaraku was accompanied by his neighbor, who had violated the security measure 'house arrest'.
About 5 months ago, he raped his brothers over this conflict, and in retaliation, they allegedly tried to shoot him on Sunday evening, but the bullets caught the policeman.
At the time of the incident, they were in the alley of the house.
Meanwhile, the police have stated that they are childhood friends with the person who was targeted.

Tirana Police announced that on May 18, at around 00:10, a police officer was injured in Shkoza. The latter was off duty when the incident occurred.
30-year-old Anxhelo Kumara was near his apartment accompanied by his neighbor, a person under house arrest for illegal possession of weapons. It is suspected that the target of the assassination was precisely the neighbor of the officer, the assassination that is suspected to have been carried out to disrupt drug deals with other people.
"On 18.05.2026, at around 00:10, in the Shkoza area, under still unclear circumstances, citizen AK, around 30 years old, an off-duty police officer, was injured, suspected of being shot with a firearm.
The 30-year-old was transported to the hospital and is out of danger.
Immediately after receiving the notification, the Police services set up checkpoints and are continuing intensive checks in the area, with the aim of capturing the perpetrator(s).
The investigation group and the Police Supervision Agency (AMP), under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, are at the scene and are working to fully clarify the circumstances, identify the perpetrator(s) and legally document the event," the police announced.
