New details have emerged from the armed robbery at a jewelry store in Kamëz.
Security cameras have revealed that the robbery of the jewelry store in Kamëz lasted no more than a minute.
The two perpetrators, masked and armed with Kalashnikovs, entered the jewelry store and within moments took gold and silver items worth up to 7 million old lek.
The footage shows that one of the robbers stood at the door armed, guarding the premises and the motorbike left outside, while the other collected the jewelry under threat and then left with a packed bag.
Despite investigations, the perpetrators have not yet been identified, as they were masked the entire time, from the moment they entered the jewelry store until they left the area.
The police were only able to discover their escape route. Security cameras filmed them as far as the vicinity of Zallherr, where they slipped and fell while riding their motorbike, but then continued their escape.
Meanwhile, several people with criminal records were escorted for verification, but were later released.
In her testimony, the jewelry store employee stated that she did not confront the robbers, as she was in the back of the store and not near the counter at the time of the incident.
