Albanian police will contact Spanish authorities to exchange information regarding the movements of Gilmando Dani and Mustafa Sheqeri, who traveled to Barcelona on November 7 and when they returned to Rinas on November 11, they fell victim to an assassination attempt.
Journalist Igli Çelmeta has learned that investigators have strong suspicions that the planning and organization of the assassination began in Barcelona, where Dani and Sheqeri stayed for three days.
The investigation team suspects that Dani had been followed by the perpetrators for a long time, and was even followed when he left for Spain on November 7th.
How did the crime happen?
Gilmando Dani was executed at the roundabout in front of the entrance to Rinas Airport, having just returned from Barcelona. A barrage of bullets was fired at the car in which he was traveling with his friend Mustafa Shaljani (Sheqeri), leaving Dani, who is known to be the closest man to Emiljano Shullazi, dead on the spot.
The Benz car in which the victim Dani was travelling lost control and went straight at the Rinas roundabout. Then, the perpetrators' Toyota vehicle pulled in front of it and one of them got out of the car and shot at close range. The perpetrator who got out of the car was masked.
A taxi was passing in front of the car in which Gilmando Dani and Mustafa Sheqeri were. In the burned vehicle of the perpetrators in the village of Halil, 3 Kalashnikovs and a pistol were found. The weapons have been sent for further examination.
