
Police have arrested 2 girls who were involved in the hostage-taking of a 27-year-old man in Tirana.
According to police, 21-year-old Monika Marku and 25-year-old Suate Çeloaliaj were arrested. The two young women are accused of collaborating with four other people, Lusjan Kimza, Asmireld Nimani, Agustin Kimza (arrested) and Klajdi Limani, to take the 27-year-old hostage, who was deprived of his freedom for several hours and physically raped inside an apartment.
Meanwhile, the Blues are working to capture citizen Klajdi Limani, who has been declared wanted.
"2 citizens who were declared wanted 3 days ago are being arrested as part of this operation.
Following the police operation codenamed "Restriction", conducted 3 days ago by the Serious Crimes Investigation Sector, in cooperation with the Special Operations Force, as a result of which 3 citizens were arrested, checks were carried out to apprehend the wanted citizens.
As a result, citizens MM, 21 years old, and SC, 25 years old, were arrested.
The investigations suspect that these 2 citizens, the 2 citizens arrested during the operation and the wanted citizen KN, collaborated with each other to extort money from the 27-year-old, depriving him of his freedom for several hours, and physically assaulting him in the premises of an apartment.
"Work is underway to capture citizen KN. The procedural materials will be passed on to the Prosecutor's Office for further action ," the police announced.
