The suspected perpetrator of the fight that took place yesterday evening in Saranda, where a former police officer was hit with a pistol barrel and then the gun was fired into the air, has been identified.
Police sources told Report TV today (July 21) that the suspect is ED, who has been declared wanted. It is suspected that the motives for the crime are weak, as investigations are continuing to fully clarify the dynamics and causes.
The incident occurred at around 19:10, in neighborhood no. 4, where it is suspected that former police officer Adil Veli, 56 years old, was injured during a conflict and was treated in hospital, with non-life-threatening injuries.
"From the preliminary examination of the scene, it is suspected that during the moment of impact with the barrel of the weapon, the weapon was involuntarily fired into the air, without causing any consequences. As material evidence, a firearm cartridge was found and seized at the scene. The investigation team is working to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident, identify and capture the suspected perpetrator, as well as for its full legal documentation," the police announced.
