The Italian police in Bologna have arrested an Albanian in the Castel de' Britti area.
The operation was carried out last week, but was announced only a day ago, as the 33-year-old Albanian with a criminal record is now also accused of trafficking over 11 kilograms of pure cocaine and a stolen pistol with ammunition.
He was also sentenced to 14 years in prison for intentional murder committed in 2011 in Bologna, but was released in May 2024, after years of detention also for crimes related to the exploitation of prostitution.
Investigators had been monitoring his movements for weeks and decided to search his home. There, officers found a bag in the basement containing ten blocks of cocaine weighing over 11 kilograms.
Not only that. Inside an integrated oven was hidden an 'Arminius' revolver of 38 special caliber, stolen in the province of Siena, on November 13, 2022, Italian media reports.
The gun was already loaded with one bullet and 23 more cartridges of the same caliber were also hidden in the oven, hidden inside a sock.
