A structured criminal group, suspected of supplying narcotics to various areas of Tirana, has been busted by the Tirana Police after a months-long investigation.
The operation, codenamed "Segmenti," led to the execution of 15 security measures, the announcement of five people wanted, and the seizure of significant amounts of drugs, money, and a firearm.
According to the Police, within the framework of the operation, 14 security measures "Arrest in prison" were executed for citizens G. Gj., 41 years old; AH, 39 years old; KM, 25 years old; KK, 22 years old; PK, 35 years old; AM, 51 years old; AC, 33 years old; RQ, 31 years old; RM, 32 years old; E. Sh., 43 years old; SZ, 32 years old; AH, 27 years old; AC, 22 years old and GM, 28 years old.
Also, the security measure "House arrest" was executed against citizen F. Gj., 38 years old.
The following are wanted: M. Gj., 34 years old; ON, 30 years old; EA, 24 years old; ES, 19 years old and KS, 41 years old. The police are continuing their work to locate and arrest them.
During the controls, 220 grams of cocaine were seized, partially divided into doses for sale, hundreds of doses of cannabis ready for trade, 2.3 million new lek suspected of having been obtained from criminal activity, as well as two poker tables, chips and tokens suspected of being used to organize illegal gambling.
The operation also led to the arrest in flagrante delicto of citizen AM, 22 years old, who was found in possession of a pistol firearm with ammunition.
From the investigations so far, it results that the members of the criminal group collaborated with each other to sell narcotics in different areas of the capital, concentrating their activity mainly near 9-year and high schools. During the previous phases of this investigation, several other operations were finalized, where seven people involved in this criminal activity were arrested and significant quantities of narcotics were seized.

The security measure "Arrest in prison" is executed for 14 citizens, and the security measure "House arrest" for 1 citizen, members of this group. 5 citizens, suspected of being members of the group, are declared wanted.
During the operation, 1 citizen was also arrested and caught red-handed with a firearm, and premises adapted for organizing gambling were discovered.

Following investigations conducted using special methods, the Narcotics Investigation Sector of the Tirana Police Department, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, finalized the operation codenamed "Segment".

"This operation is the result of a long investigation, within the framework of which, in previous periods, several other police operations have been finalized, resulting in the arrest of 7 citizens involved in this criminal activity and the seizure of significant quantities of narcotics ," the police announced.
