According to the police, an investigation has been launched against 4 people: citizen AM, a forestry engineer for abuse of office and failure to report a crime, the headman of the village of Kllogjen, Gj. G., for abuse of office, and two forest rangers, citizens P. Sh. and FG, for abuse of office.
It is learned that 455 narcotic plants were destroyed in the administrative unit Pult, Shkodra, where proceedings were initiated against the forestry engineer.
Meanwhile, 11,748 narcotic plants were seized in the Temal administrative unit, Vau i Dejës.
"The Shkodra Local Police Directorate and its subordinate Police Stations, within the framework of the extensive "Coordination" operation, have intensified controls throughout the territory of the Shkodra district, with the aim of preventing and cracking down on the illegal cultivation of narcotic plants.
Based on police intelligence and monitoring from the air with drones and on the ground with foot patrols, 12,203 suspected narcotic plants and seedlings of the cannabis sativa species have been located and destroyed.

"Work continues to identify, capture and prosecute the perpetrators of these cases ," the police announced.
