A serious accident was recorded this afternoon on the Tirana-Durrës highway. A van on the Berat line went off the road and ended up in a canal, resulting in 15 people being injured and 2 others being killed.
Because the van ended up overturned in the canal, some of the passengers were trapped inside the vehicle after the accident. For this reason, the intervention of the fire brigade was required to extract them from the van.
Several ambulances also arrived at the scene, transporting some of the injured to the hospital for medical attention. It is reported that there were also children in the van.
The circumstances and causes that led to the van leaving the road have not yet been announced. The police and the investigation team are at the scene and are working to fully clarify the circumstances of the accident.
