The statement by the leader of the FRPD, also a deputy from the list for the Tirana district, Besart Xhaferri, according to which Berisha must prove that the 2025 elections were stolen and were an electoral farce, must be proven by Berisha by 2026, otherwise, he can no longer lead the opposition, is appearing as a strong rebellion in the largest opposition party.
Such a 'clash' is even being strongly labeled as a real 'earthquake' that has engulfed the DP and is shaking Sali Berisha's power in this party to its 'foundations'!
At least on television panels but also on various portals, to the surprise of even those close to Berisha or his own family, the 'rebellion' of Democratic MP Xhaferri against his chairman Berisha is being thoroughly analyzed, to whom he has given a deadline until 2026 to prove the electoral farce and vote theft from Rama, otherwise he must resign or be expelled by the chairman of the DP.
In some cases, it even goes so far as to claim that there is a clash within the Berisha family, to take over the leadership of the DP from the children, as it is left to understand that father Sali is old, tired of the years and the consumption of power, and his strength is only effective in the 'perimeter' of the DP membership, without going into the other 'circle', the gray one, to absorb votes and bring the opposition to power! There was a tendency to present it as a 'rebellion' of the son against the father, since Xhaferri is treated in the DP as a descendant of Berisha's son, Shkelzen himself!
And as if to make the picture of this great 'clash' within the DP, between the big party leader and the leader of the small party, Sali Berisha himself, in a public appearance, showed himself 'determined' to run again for the position of leader in 2026 according to the statute, due to the farcical elections of May 11, according to him, but with one difference, that the race will be open to everyone!
But Xhaferri's 'ultimatum' to Berisha regarding his removal as leader of the DP if he does not prove the electoral farce of May 11 by 2026, contains within itself a very great truth, which 'resonates' despite all the efforts from the DP offices on the banks of the Lana River or from the Berisha family at all 'stations' to justify it, as it does not reach the right height to be presented as the truth!
At the beginning of the episode, he inadvertently reveals the fact that Xhaferri's 'rebellion' against Berisha, that the latter should try the electoral farce until 2026 or else step down as the leader of the DP, shows that even the DP deputies themselves are not convinced that the May 11 elections were a farce! At least formally, according to what the DP deputy says, who has just entered the Assembly but who, according to what is said, has the 'ultimatum' against Berisha 'fresh'!
So, although unintentionally, the fact is that the Democratic MP reveals a great and painful truth, that he shows that there are strong doubts not only from political opponents, not only from the membership of the DP supporters but also from the Democratic MPs themselves elected on May 11, about the arguments that Berisha is using to justify the deep defeat in this year's parliamentary elections, as he describes them as stolen and an electoral farce. These are Berisha's attempts to show, officially, that he does not have to respect the article of the DP statute to resign, since according to him there was no election but a farce vote! Not that he asks much about the statute! He has always shown this! This is a disaster for the DP, since they do not believe at all what the chairman says!
At the same time, the idea of presenting such an 'attack' on Berisha as coming from the circle of his son Shkelzen is one of the most utopian ideas that could have been thrown into the world! It is true that Berisha's son has a 'hand' in the leadership of the DP, even in the selection of some of the candidates for MPs on the safe list for the May 11 elections, or of these independent candidates in Tirana and in the other 5 remaining municipalities for mayor where the early partial elections will be held, starting with that of Tirana, Florian Binaj!
But, there is no conflict within the Berisha family over the leadership of the DP. Since the DP is a 'mortgage' property of the Berisha family, and at the end of the day, when the all-powerful will appear, hopefully as soon as possible, on "Mustafa Matohiti" street in Tirana to take Saliu away with him without the right of return, in eternity, the 'property - the DP' remains only with the family and Shkelzeni himself enjoys this. Together with his sister, Argita Berisha Malltezi, who seems less interested in leading the first opposition party, inherited as a family from her father!
Then why is all this 'clash' within the DP, even hypothetically according to some media outlets and within Berisha's family, being 'amplified' so much within the largest opposition party, in media outlets very close to it and Berisha, or on social networks by Berisha's supporters, who, as if by a trick, some attack the DP MP, Besart Xhaferri, for the 'courage' he showed by 'rebeling' against Berisha and setting deadlines for him as to when and why he should stay or resign from the leadership of the DP, while the rest support him in this 'rebellion' within the DP, as a movement within it to reform the party?!
What we can say is that it's all for image! In the conditions when the final report of the OSCE/ODIHR recognized and certified the elections of May 11 of this year, making extremely important recommendations to be implemented, which more than the DP and the opposition come to 'scold' the majority itself led by Edi Rama, which for years has been seeking the cooperation of the DP to realize exactly those things that have been recommended and this time by the OSCE/ODIHR, so in the conditions when there is no alibi left for the devastating defeat of the DP in the elections, the Berisha family, as the possessors of the 'papers' of the DP, must pretend to be reacting to reform and orient this party towards resurgence!
Even by introducing new names indirectly emerging from Berisha's 'kitchen' as independent candidates for mayor in the 6 municipalities without a mayor! Even by sponsoring some MP, commanded by the 'command center' in the central government of Berisha's family, to 'rebel', but with permission, against Berisha. Simply for image and to say that things are moving in the largest opposition party after the devastating defeat, even in the right direction and by criticizing even him, the uncriticizable, the greatest 'father' of the DP, now the owner of this party, Sali Berisha!
No one believes that there is a movement within the DP against Berisha, even more so supported by his son, even though it is illustrated by the fact that MP Xhaferri is in Washington at the moment! Everyone knows the fate that has followed all those who have rebelled without permission against Berisha, from Ceka and Pashko, Pollo, to Basha! They have all been expelled from the DP! Ervin Salianji also knows that he declares time and time again that he will take on the role of the restructurer of the DP, why not also of leading this ambitious party! Everything is said simply for image, nothing more. The fight for the 'double' of the party, one is taken, eternally in the DP!
Meanwhile, the rebellion with permission of the DP deputy Xhaferri against Berisha, has an explanation, somewhat conspiratorial but which has always happened in the DP: That of a 'trap' for all those who dare to think differently, are dissatisfied or far away, have the mistaken belief that there is competition in the DP and Berisha can be challenged! Even if in a camouflaged way by sabotaging him day after day! It is precisely the 'movement directed' by the Berisha family through Xhaferri, that can 'catch' in the 'net' set up, all the dissatisfied, if they appear around the 'rebel' deputy, who can make a mistake and seriously support Xhaferri 'against' Berisha! Eating the 'bait' and falling into Berisha's trap to reveal the traitors within the DP. This is the first 'film' in the DP!
The year 2026 has come, Xhaferri's 'deadline' for Berisha is near, and very soon we will understand the game of deception and image of the Berisha family in the DP. To perpetuate the rule of the Berishas in this party! At least, until the DP dies out and completes its mission! Time proves everything!
