Journalist Neritan Sejamini stated that the protest is not a matter of manipulation. According to him, young people who want to stay in an Albania where people live honestly have come to the streets. He emphasized that their protest is showing great democratic signs, since everyone in that protest has different ideas, slogans, and calls.
"It's not a matter of a misunderstanding, it's not a matter of a few individuals, it's not a matter of manipulation. In that protest there is another Albania, which as far as I understand, Mr. Rama has no idea that it exists. In fact, I can say that politics in general has no idea of the kind of Albania that is in protest. There are young people there who have been uninterested in politics and you can see it from the way they act. There they are expressing messages. There no one listens to a speech like they listened to Mr. Rama, everyone was silent. There are mini-protests. Each part of the protest has a small group that has its own slogan, has its own song, has its own noise and comes around. There is an Albania that with its hope seeks to build a better life. There is an Albania that seeks freedom, seeks dignity and this has nothing to do with manipulation by foreigners. This has to do with their request ," said Sejamini in the studio of "Every Corner" on A2CNN.
He added that the protest is being carried out by young people who want a place where they can work freely, where being a party member is not required to have a career. According to him, they do not want to live in a corrupt country.
"They want a future where they can work, live as free people. A future where young people will not need to become members of political party forums to have a career, who do not need to become directors for 30 years or presidents for this 30 years, but they want to live honestly and create a future. So, it is a protest in which it is demanded with insistence that they have the opportunity to live in this country and an Albania that has understood that with this government this will never come. And they are people who shout, scream to stay in Albania. It is a call to stay in Albania. Mr. Rama and all politicians must understand this. Rama wants this to be an environmental issue. He wants this to have to do only with Zvërnec. He wants this to be an issue of manipulation by foreign agencies. He wants this to be an issue against President Trump. This has nothing to do with these alone, it is an issue of people who are screaming to stay in Albania, but only if Albania will be a country where people live freely and live honestly. They are people who do not want to be corrupt administration. They do not want to be corrupt directors. They want to be free people, who build their future with dignity, with freedom in their country. One of the things I heard most at the protest was I want to stay in Albania or I want to return to Albania. So, you have an Albania that says I want to return to Albania or I want to stay in Albania and you have a prime minister who says these people are manipulated , "Sejamini added.
