Tonight's protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office continued for more than two hours, as various citizens took to the podium to share their messages and criticisms of the government and the political class.
One of the speeches that attracted attention was that of a protester, who referred to the Socialist Party's activity, held just a few meters away in "Italia" Square, as a continuation of the spirit of the former Labor Party.
According to her, the problem is not only related to certain government decisions, but to the way citizens have been treated by the government over the years.
" These are beautiful and exciting days, they have historical significance for all of us. What has not gone from the beginning is not just a decision or a project, but the way Albanians were treated and the steps taken by the government. The former Labor Party, which today celebrates its 35th anniversary, has continued with the same mindset of power and the same way of behaving towards citizens , "she declared.
The protester accused the Socialists of having lost touch with the reality of citizens and of continuing to support the government despite the scandals and accusations that weigh on it.
" They have deceived the citizens and have brought back new forms of dependence. Socialists cry for something they do not deserve. Socialists trust the thief. This is the great tragedy of this country, that people continue to protect those who have disappointed them for years ," she said.
Following her speech, the citizen also made accusations against the way in which, according to her, pressure is exerted on individuals who express critical opinions towards the government.
" They know neither SPAK nor the law, they have no fear. The only tool they use is psychological pressure on every citizen who expresses even the slightest concern. This is what we have seen for years and what must end ," declared the protester.
Her speech was met with applause from protest participants, while the rally in front of the Prime Minister's Office continues with other speeches and calls against the government and the political class.
