The Tax Administration has published the indicative salary list for employees in the medical and personal care sectors, describing it as a reference instrument for risk analysis and identification of possible cases of non-declaration of real salaries.
According to data, the salary level fluctuates from around 75 thousand lek for professions such as barbers and hairdressers, up to 215 thousand lek for surgeons, depending on the profile and function.
In an official announcement, the Tax Administration announces that it will analyze the payrolls of entities operating in these sectors, comparing them with the relevant indicative levels, while warning of controls for high-risk cases.
" The Tax Administration will analyze the data declared in the payrolls of entities operating in these sectors, comparing them with the indicative salary levels according to the respective professions. Taxpayers who declare salaries below the indicative salary level for the respective professions, or who change the categorization of the employee's profession in order to declare a lower salary, will be considered at risk and will be subject to verification by specialized structures of the Tax Administration ," the announcement states.
Taxes call on entities to accurately declare the real salaries of employees, in accordance with applicable legislation, emphasizing that this is directly related to increasing social security contributions and guaranteeing more stable pensions for employees in the medical and aesthetic care sector.
