At a time when the government is facing accusations of corruption and protests that have been going on for about 20 days in Tirana, Prime Minister Edi Rama spoke at a meeting of the Socialist Party parliamentary group with a critical tone towards the way the political debate in the country functions, shifting the focus to the difference between the opposition and the real government.
"In opposition, you can promise everything and not be held accountable; in government, you will be collecting garbage," Rama said, emphasizing the difference between opposition rhetoric and the burden of the executive.
He continued with other examples to illustrate the complexity of decision-making in power.
"In opposition you can protect all the birds, in government you will fight the hunters. In opposition you can return all the properties, in government you treat 3 types of owners...", referring, according to him, to the historical chaos of property documents in the country.
Rama emphasized that governance can never be perfect, underlining that even the current executive faces problems.
“Government is the richest source of anger, even if it is the most perfect. There is no perfect government and we have problems.”
Moving on to modern politics and the role of social networks, the prime minister warned about what he called the "click industry," saying that politics today is being influenced by algorithms and the attention economy.
"Today we are faced with a profitable industry. Whoever thinks that with clicks and followers he does politics is mistaken. With these, he serves the biggest oligarchs who get richer every day," declared Rama.
He added that conflicting content has priority in distribution.
"All posts that are boring are distributed more slowly than those that are engaging. The algorithm is distributing conflict. Fear produces clicks, clicks time and time money," said Rama.

Gomari nuk behet politika me klikime. Klikimi eshte shpikja me e ndyre e parise sunduese te planetit. Ne fillim iu parapri me ngritjen drastike te cmimeve te alkolit. Klubet, lokalet e alkolit u mbyllen se nuk mbijetuan nga largimi i klienteve, popullit. Ne bisede shoqerore me te njohur biseda mbetet ne tavoline e mund te shpertheje fuqishem revolta. Klikimi eshte nderlidhesi me i shpejte por e shet identitetin e klikuesit, idete, mendimet, miqte e grupin. Keshtu qe projekt idea eshte e vdekur pa nisur. Plus coroditja qe klikimet behen nga hiena. Pastaj fillon largimi i popullates, boshatisja e vendit e sjellja e emigranteve cope cope nga raca te ndryshme. Popullata e mbetur me e pafta lemeriset dhe e ka mendjen te komshiu i zi mos i perlaje vajzen. Pastaj futet droga e tolerohet te mpijne trurin njereia. Dmth coroditjes se mendjes se popullit i gjindet gjithnje krimb gerryes. Vetem vitin e shkuar kane emigruar 1 milione Engleze te paster drejt Australise. Qe ne fillim kuptova qe populli (masa) ne Europe jane injorante e jo shume inteligjence. Te zotet e inteligjentet iken nga syte kembet me breza e bene Ameriken, Kanadane, Australine Zelanden e Re, etj. Kjo ndodhi e po ndodh ne Shqiperi. Ndryshimi se Shtetet shumica koloniale kane akoma dhjame te tresin por ne Shqiperia ishim cope cope, mbetet cope cope e po shkojme drejt zhdukjes. Troja u shit nga brenda, nuk u pushtua. Laokoonti dekospiroi ujdine e parise qe po e shisnin Trojen dhe i cuan gjarperinjte ku e mbyten me gjithe djemte. Ah!
sa te detyruar e ke rugen ku je futur....GABIME eshte ti besh qejfin vetes .....je zhytur kembe e koke ne krim ekonomik dhe korupsion politik...dhe zoteron pasuri te pajustifikushme....faje te renda AJDUTERIE....te cilat presin transparence para ligjit dhe kombit....cdo gje tjeter qe thua eshte teater transparenca nuk behet politikisht por drejtesisht ne menyre ligjore...shkohet ne nje gjykate dhe meret pafajsia....por jo ne kto gjykata te ngritura prej jush qe jane zhutur ne krim e korupsion si ju krijusit e tyre....35 vjet nipotizem dhe bashke ajduteri....
Je zhytur ne mut e te duket vetja i parfumosur. Kaq ishte, jetove si mbret e perfundove si qen.
