From Tahiri to Beqaj, Ahmetaj, Veliaj and Balluku, SPAK's investigations do not target random individuals, but the consequences of Rama's policies, while the prime minister always chose to sacrifice others. What now?!
SPAK’s successive attacks on key figures in the Rama government are not personal accidents, but links in a predictable political chain. Each “fall” has come after a failed or internationally rejected policy, from cannabis to PPPs, incinerators, sterilizations and public contracts. Instead of facing political responsibility for these decisions, Edi Rama has chosen to bring forward his associates as scapegoats, protecting himself and climbing the last rungs of power. Today, as investigations are increasingly moving towards the prime minister’s office, the old scheme of sacrifice is backfiring, showing that the pyramid built on bargaining and fear is collapsing from within.
SPAK's aggressive investigations into Edi Rama's government have never been focused on specific individuals. If we look closely at the history of major operations against the majority, we conclude that we are dealing with a chain of issues, or more precisely, with political responsibility for the solutions undertaken by the leader of the majority.
The downfall of Saimir Tahiri was an international operation against the cannabization, which was politically conceived by Edi Rama himself. Tahiri, as time has shown, was a "sacrifice" of Edi Rama in the face of international punishment for the cannabization of the country.
Then came the policy of monopolizing public contracts in a few hands, the so-called PPP, where it was the internationals who overthrew this policy and demanded that the Albanian government step down. The next victim, or sacrifice, was Ilir Beqja.
After Beqja, Arben Ahmetaj was hit, whom Edi Rama declared an enemy after using him as an intermediary with Ilir Meta. Today, "Tigri" remains the only former collaborator who, for better or worse, has directly confronted Babloku, through denunciations made to SPAK. Ahmetaj is the only one who did not receive the denunciations from the opposition, but from circles within the majority itself.
Then it was Erion Veliaj's turn, who also took the initial blow from the opposition's denunciations, regarding government policies such as incinerators and public contracts for the construction of towers, where in fact the mayor has a formal role, since the real signatures are given by the head of government.
Now it was Belinda Balluku's turn, a situation that left Edi Rama with a "thorn in his side", both because of the character of the deputy prime minister, who has slapped reality in his face from the beginning, and because of the fear that the investigations are now closing in on him himself.
However, this whole situation was predictable. Even completely predictable. Faced with the multitude of denunciations in SPAK from the opposition about the policies pursued by the government, Edi Rama did not wage a political battle, did not confront them, but, like a coward, brought forward the bodies of his friends. And when you dig a hole for someone else, one day that hole, even bigger, will open for you, as it is being opened for the prime minister today.
If Edi Rama had come forward himself, not simply to protect his associates, but to explain and defend the government policies that they ultimately drafted together, whether on tolerating cannabis, or on sterilizations, incinerators, reconstruction, road contracts, and more, the situation today would be completely different.
We would have a majority that stands up to protect its exponents, not a prime minister who sacrifices his closest friends to save himself and climb the last steps of the power pyramid.
And just as in the collapse of the "mayas" of antiquity, who sacrificed their children for the pyramids of blood, this pyramid is also collapsing under the weight of a great force, which carries within it not only justice, but also an accumulated revenge, which sooner or later requires washing away, even worse than against the victims themselves. / Pamphlet
