Israeli Ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, has attacked the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague, which is demanding that Israel support UN humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip, including UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East).
Danon described this opinion as shameful, accusing UN agencies of becoming a haven for terrorists.
"They blame Israel for lack of cooperation with UN bodies, but they should blame themselves. UNRWA has supported Hamas for years," he said.
The ruling by a panel of 11 judges requires Israel to facilitate humanitarian efforts in Gaza and not to hinder the work of international agencies.
Meanwhile, Israeli Deputy Prime Minister Yariv Levin announced the expulsion of 32 foreign activists who had helped Palestinians during the olive harvest season in the West Bank.
According to Levin, the decision was made following a complaint by the president of the Northern Settlement Council, Yossi Dagan, who called the activists 'anarchists who provoked in the Samaria area'.
This year, there has been an increase in violence during the olive season, with dozens of cases of vandalism and attacks by Israeli settlers on Palestinian farmers.
One of the deportees, 30-year-old Briton Rudy Schulkind, told AFP he was held for 72 hours by Israeli forces before being deported on October 19. He also said 32 people were arrested in an olive grove near the city of Nablus.
