Donald Trump spoke on a variety of topics during the Prayer Breakfast in Washington, ranging from the US military, major sporting events to be held in the United States, to religion and his public comments.
Focusing on the armed forces, Trump declared that he has a high interest in joining the military. "We have a lot of people who want to join the military," he said, praising its capabilities. He added that the US military is made up of people who, according to him, "all look like Tom Cruise, but they're taller," using a figurative comparison to the appearance and training of soldiers.
Trump then spoke about what he described as another of his achievements, the organization of the Olympic Games to be held in Los Angeles in 2028, as well as the World Cup to be held this summer in the United States, Canada and Mexico. In this context, he linked these developments to the 2020 presidential election, which he has previously mentioned as rigged.
"I managed to bring the Olympics to the US and the World Championships. They probably wouldn't invite me and I was very angry. Then they 'rigged' the election and I said: 'I'm coming back!'" Trump declared.
Another topic of the speech was religion. Trump said that, in his opinion, he has done "more for religion than any other president," adding that he does not understand how a believer can vote for the Democratic Party.
Finally, he referred to previous comments he had made in jest regarding Parajsa, emphasizing that the statements had been misinterpreted by the media.
