Severe weather has hit the Philippines, causing many deaths, injuries and property damage, as the typhoon is also heading towards Vietnam.
According to local authorities, the death toll from Typhoon Kalmagi in the Philippines has risen to 40 people.
The powerful storm brought torrential rains and flooding to the central regions of the country, inundating homes and forcing thousands of residents to evacuate.
Although "Kalmagi", known locally as "Tino", has weakened since hitting the country early Tuesday morning, it is still sweeping the country with winds of 130 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 180, as it moves over the Visayas islands towards northern Palawan and the South China Sea.
