An unprecedented scene was witnessed in Moscow. The Russian capital was transformed into a battlefield when a crowd of migrants, armed with shovels and iron bars, filled the streets, shouting an "unintelligible" language and attacking passersby, breaking everything in their path.
According to Russian authorities, a total of 40 people were arrested and many of them now face deportation because they are construction workers.
Police are still investigating what caused the chaos in the Russian capital.
The mass brawl began at around 12:00 in the Prokshino residential complex in Moscow, according to the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Moscow.
Panicked residents of the apartment complex say they saw up to 15 hooded men gathered in the area, hours before they launched their attack on the city.
The crowd was filmed suddenly running onto a busy road around the apartment complex.
