US President Donald Trump has reiterated calls for New York Jews not to vote for Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic candidate running for mayor of the city.
"Any Jew who votes for Zohran Mamdani (…) is an idiot!!!", Trump wrote in a post on the Truth Social platform, judging that the big favorite in these municipal elections "hates Jews".
Zohran Mamdani is an ardent supporter of the Palestinian cause, and his stances on Israel and the war in Gaza have angered part of the Jewish community in the American metropolis.
Over the past few months he has continued to take a tough stance against anti-Semitism.
