The General Inspectorate has reacted after the large fire that engulfed the "Arlis" building in Tirana, ordering the establishment of a working group to verify the causes of the event.
Through orders no. 90 and no. 91, dated 14.04.2026, it was decided to conduct an immediate inspection of the private entities operating in this building, in order to clarify the circumstances that led to the fire.
According to the announcement, the inspection will be carried out by the inspection bodies of the State Technical and Industrial Inspectorate, as well as the National Inspectorate for Territorial Protection.
The working group will conduct inspections in the premises of the palace, near the area known as "Pharmacy 10", and all findings related to this event are expected to be documented and reported.
Authorities aim to determine responsibilities and clarify the causes that led to the fire that caused significant damage to the building.
